Used Chopard Watches For Sale

In 1860, Louis-Ulysse Chopard established the L.U.C company in Switzerland, which originally specialised in pocket watches and ladies’ watches. When Chopard died in 1915, his son Paul-Louis and grandson Paul-André took over the business. As the company grew, the operation was moved from Sonvilier to Chaux-de-Fronds in 1921. In 1937, it was relocated again, this time to Geneva, with a specific aim of being able to have movements made by the company certified with the Geneva Seal. In 1943, Paul-André took over the running of the company. It was then sold to Karl Scheufele III in 1963. In 1976, the Chopard company began making its signature design incorporating a free-flowing diamond encased behind sapphire glass. During the 1980s, the brand started to make diamond jewellery for women as well as a range of sports watches for men. Today, Chopard is synonymous with high-end luxury watches and operates around one hundred stores around the world, employing 2,000 people. The brand continues to go from strength to strength thanks in no small part to its reputation for high-quality timepieces.
