A Guide To
Bremont Watches

When it comes to choosing a luxury designer watch every bit as unique as you are, it’s important not to rush into things. Watches come in all manner of shapes, styles and sizes, so it makes sense to do a little bit of research before settling on the brand that speaks out to you most. Luxury watches aren’t just a statement – they’re an investment that you might choose to wear for your entire adult life before passing it down to a loved one or family member as an inheritance piece. A good timepiece is more than simply a watch – it’s a part of the story of your life, which means that making the right choice is crucial.

Bremont is one brand that is consistently held in high esteem by fans of luxury watches. Bremont watches combine high-quality materials with an innovative aesthetic to create stylish and sophisticated watches which will be cherished for years to come.

History of Bremont

In 2002, brothers Giles and Nick English founded the Bremont company. Five years later, Bremont launched its first collection of luxury watches, inspired by a retro aviation feel. Since then, the brand has gone on to win numerous plaudits, including “Watch Brand of the Year” courtesy of the UK Jewellery Awards in 2011, as well as the 2012 Luxury Briefing Awards “Breakthrough Brand” trophy.

The brand was approached in the late-noughties by Martin-Baker, the British aviation company responsible for designing and supplying two-thirds of the world’s air forces with cutting edge fighter plane ejector seat technology. The intention was to develop the world’s finest aviation watch. This is a testament to the quality of Bremont watches, as the project required a timepiece that could withstand the same rigorous testing as the ejector seats. By 2013, Bremont had cemented its reputation as one of the world’s leading luxury watch manufacturers, having scooped the prestigious HSBC Global Connections award.

Bremont: What do I need to know?

The inspiration behind the Bremont name came from an incident in the late 1990s, where the English brothers were forced to land their 1930s biplane in a field in France during exceptionally bad weather. A kind landowner, Antoine Bremont, offered his hospitality, and the brothers vowed to honour his name.

Whether you’re looking for men’s Bremont watches or ladies Bremont watches, one thing remains clear: each design has been meticulously pored over to appeal to those who share an appreciation and passion for the innovation behind first class mechanical wristwatches.

How do I choose my Bremont watch?

Choosing the right watch for your needs ultimately comes down to personal taste. Thankfully, Bremont creates a wide range of styles which ensures you’ll be able to find one that suits your lifestyle, expectations and price range.

Of course, it’s difficult to put a price on good taste, although the expense of a brand new Bremont watch will naturally reflect its quality. Despite this, there is a relatively large market for used Bremont watches. It’s important to take note that in the case of luxury timepieces, “used” doesn’t mean lacking in appearance, style or quality. Luxury items can often depreciate in price over time, but the quality and craftsmanship remains the same. This works out well for collectors who simply want to get good value for the latest pieces in their watch collection, and it also works out well for the everyday wearer. Some people might not be able to justify paying the full price for a luxury timepiece, but might find precisely what they're looking for among men’s used Bremont watches. With a pre-owned Bremont watch, it’s possible to stand out from the crowd for less.
